AFCU takes Lagoon

I've said it before, I'll say it again!  I   L O V E   M Y   J O B !  I'm not kidding!
I love what I do and I absolutely adore my coworkers! I couldn't think of a better place for me to be! Now, take my job, my coworkers and throw in a trip to  L A G O O N !?
I'd call that heaven on earth! AFCU threw their northern Utah Summer Social on Monday (at Lagoon) and it was definitely an evening to remember! We went on every ride we wanted  and even some I am absolutely terrified of! I feel really blessed to be an employee of AFCU and to be in a branch that works hard & plays hard! Thanks for the fun night!

We are missing a couple of people from this photo, but look how fun!

No need for explanation on how I feel about this ride... I think I screamed louder than ever. I also allowed for everyone on the ground to have a grand laugh.
(Shhhhh... I secretly enjoyed this ride...)

We went on the ferris wheel and let me tell you.
The view from up there is  B E A U T I F U L  & W I N D Y !

This picture may look a lot like the one above, but I will never forget this memory.
This was one of the last rides we went on, but it was my favorite by far! You sit in this cart thingy and the ride swings you around in a circle and then raises into the air and you go upside down while spinning. The ride itself doesn't sound so great, but Michael couldn't stop laughing the entire ride! If you've ever heard Michael laugh you know it is absolutely contagious!

A RiDubbingField Weekend

As you know, while living in Salt Lake, we were fortunate enough to meet some of our bestest friends! We once (and still randomly) referred to ourselves as the RiDubbingFields family! As silly as that sounds. That's what we are; family.
A few months ago, the Hubbards up and moved to California! It has been a good move for them, but oh boy do we miss them! This past weekend, we were blessed enough to have them stay with us, and it was like they never left! Having the Hubbards and the Bedingfields over at our house this weekend has finally made our house feel like our home!
So here's our weekend in pictures!

These pictures may seem redundant, but I just love them.
Can't you see why they complete us?

We are so happy these guys are just a short drive away! They were a very large part of why we decided on living in North Salt Lake!

Thanks for visiting Becky & BJ!

Flowers & A Lunch Date

I love my job. That's the reality of it. So... What could make an amazing job even better? Seeing my guy walk into the branch, flowers in hand and ready to steal me away for a lunch date.
I think to myself on a daily basis:
How did I get so lucky?

2014 Camping

It's that time of the year again! Camping at Payson Lakes with the Wagner Clan! This year, it was over our 2nd Wedding Anniversary and we couldn't have spent it any better way!

So... Funny story... See this beautiful, super clean, and fresh lake that we are standing in? Well, every year we take Frank out onto the canoe. When he is least expecting it, we throw him over the canoe and let him swim around. He doesn't experience this much, so we generally keep a hand on him while he swims. This year, he got away from us and Michael Linley dove in after him head first causing us to tip the canoe! I attempted to save us by leaning the opposite direction, but I just ended up laughing way too hard and letting go. We had to pull the canoe to the edge to get back in, but it is definitely a memory we will never forget!

Ogden Temple Open House

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to go through the Ogden Temple open house! For anyone who doesn't know, I am a LDS. If you don't know what that means, click HERE fore more details. We are always excited when an opportunity to tour a Temple comes up! You do not need to have tickets to go to the open house, so if you have a half hour, it's worth the trip!

Crisis Averted

A week after moving into our new home, disaster struck. Okay not really, but it had the potential to cause a lot of damage, and really tick off this redhead! We had just arrived home on a Sunday evening and were beginning to relax. Michael had just sat down for a movie and I at the table to write my sweet Missionary Hannah K. It would have been a perfect evening if it hadn't been for the dreaded drip, drip, drip coming from our air conditioning vent! I look over at our wall and I see a tiny trickle of water coming through our air conditioning vent that had formed a large puddle at the base of our wall! PANIC! Where was this water coming from!?
How long had it been dripping!?
We immediately called the 24/7 maintenance only to be told that the man who was to helped us lived an hour and a half away! While we waited, for our so called  E M E R G E N C Y   maintenance, we cleaned up the puddle and saw that the water was leaking from the apartment above! After exploring the apartment upstairs with the maintenance, we found that the water heater was about to burst! If we would have waited another minute, our apartment would have been flooded! Talk about a close call! We are just extremely lucky we caught the trickle of water!

FHE in the RAIN

Michael and I absolutely adore having people over for dinner, so when we moved out of Mom & Dad's house again, we wasted no time! For FHE a couple of Monday's ago, we decided we were going to have Bryan, Kara, Allison, and Jordan up for dinner, a little swim, and dessert. After we all ate, we changed and headed outside to go swimming but only to find that the weather had turned into T O R R E N T I A L down poor! It was our dream come true! Not a one of us hesitated to run out into the parking lot and start a splishin & a splashin!
(Okay, I lied. Allison didn't join in. She had forgotten her suit!)
Freezing cold, we hurried to the hot tub for a bit then came back for
C H O C O L A T E   F O N D U !

It couldn't have been more fun!

Family Runion

Living in Utah has many perks for my family. One of these, is being able to attend every family function ever invented, including the Lasson Family Reunion. Every time we have one of these gatherings, each family rotates who throws the event. This year, it fell upon my Grandparents which means Mother has a large roll in helping plan the reunion. Mother definitely stepped up to the plate, and we all had a smashing good time!

S T O R Y   T I M E : A couple of summers ago, Mom made each of us kids a marshmallow gun! Seeing as, at the time, we were all adults, we had way too much fun with them. So, she thought she would make about 15 more and share them with everyone at the reunion. Needless to say, we were ruthless. We do not mess around when it comes to Mallows & War.

Since we don't get to shoot "guns" very often, we had to reenact a scene form my favorite movie, K I L L E R S. If you ever see it, maybe you'll know what part I'm referring too. If you haven't, go watch it!

We even had some ancestors show up!
It was so fun to have Mom & Bryan dress up and
tell us stories of our families past!

Being right next to the train and Bryan in full cowboy giddup,
we obviously had to take some cheesy shots!

DATE NIGHT!

Now that we are moved in and all settled, I can finally get back to blogging! It took us quite some time to get internet, but everything is officially in! To celebrate our time here, we got to go on our own little   D A T E   N I G H T !  It has been quite sometime since we've planned one of these bad boys! After work, I went home and changed, and off we went to our most recent/favorite obsession, the Pizza Pie Cafe! Mmmmm we live for all you can eat pizza! Plus, they have so many delicious desserts!

Can you believed I snagged this handsome man?
Sometimes I just sit here and laugh at how lucky I truly am!
He spoils me rotten!

Then we headed up to the Kaysville Theatre to watch Blended! Aside from the first 15-20 minutes, we laughed through the entire movie! It was such a perfect date!

Here's a little Sneak Peek of our home! Let's just say I am obsessed with coming home, and I wish I could just spend all of my days here! It's coming together so nicely!
